Flyover

i think this may be my first post.. anyways, had a b1 and 2 f15s flyover this weekend at the af v army game.. put the camera on multishot drive- cannon drebel xt.. had some dirt on lens in lower left corner, but too lazy to photoshop it out right now.

(the 15s came over hella fast with the afterburners going, so i had a hard time getting them in the frame when until they were over me.)

Planes are pretty easy once you know the flight path or anticipate it... It's alot of fun to shoot planes, with a camera...

honestly i tried to line the camera up, but went with a hammerfist approach.. the DLSR's multi-shot drive comes in pretty dang handy.. got really pissed last year when i messed up a B1 flanked by two F-22s... the DSLR is light years better than my old camera though.

I was stationed at Ft. Carson for 7 years and incredible flyovers are nothing new to Colorado Springs.

Now, I am retired and live 2 miles from Miramar, so I see planes all day long.

Great shots, and I know that tailgate area well.

B-1's are bad-ass jets and all, but a B*TCH to work on. Trust me...they are pieces of sh*t.

I see them on a day to day basis, up close and personal. They are still a sexy jet, don't get me wrong...but GOD they love to break.

LOL I've seen them in every fashion, from sitting on the ground, to doing high-speed flyby's (around .98 mach...nearly breaking the sound barrier), to literally blowing up, and to being chopped up for scrap. Hearing one of those take off from 100 yards away is like hearing a space shuttle take off...its incredibly loud and shakes your entire body...
