G8 with a 50mm f1.8.....

Tried my buddies lens yesterday, its not AF-S so it doesnt autofocus on my D40, but I think I did pretty well for my first time using it. If anything it definitely made me feel more in to the process of photography instead of just pressing a button and letting the camera do all the work, and it was way more fun too

Anyways, here are 3 that I thought came out pretty cool. Probably my best compositions to date since I bought the D40 back in August. I think I'm going to pick this lens up for myself, at $130 bucks it's a steal and its sooo clear, makes my kit lens look like a P&S lens lol. Oh, and I want to add that I think his was kinda dirty. Anything that was really bright seemed to be terribly cloudy along the edges.

Some editing in Lightroom for added clarity, contrast, and took away some vibrance and saturation to give the pictures a colder feel. C&C welcome and appreciated!

Thanks guys. CJ, the LEDs are aftermarket, someone on a G8 forum did them and I thought they looked cool. Only 30 bucks on ebay so I figured it was worth the gamble Just a single strip of LEDs stuck on to the underside of the headlight, the strips have an adhesive backing.
