I went to see my dad today for lunch to celebrate his birthday as he worked Sunday(his actual birthday). I showed him what I've been up to in the way of taking him to my flickr page. Then he asked if I
wanted his old camera... Needless to say I said yes and I am now the proud owner of a 1984 Canon T50 with the FD 50mm f1.8 attached! I am so damn excited to have a camera that pretty much documented me growing up that I could almost cry! If anyone has tips for the camera that'd be great,
but I'm happy to learn film again!

I'll post pics later...

Very jazzy. My dad gave me his AE-1 when I got into photog'n back in HS and he was so happy to see me put his camera to use and I will surely document my kids growing up (when I have them) just as he did with me.

My dad bought it in '84 when he was 24... Now 25 years later he gives it to me when I'm 24...

Sweet! I'm pretty damn sure they use the same lenses... And there is an adapter from FD to EF so that the old lenses work with new cameras

Got my first roll of film... I almost think I loaded it wrong, as in advanced it too far, but oh well, I'm enjoying learning

Awesome!

Funny thing, last weekend I borrowed my parent's N70 and N2020 Nikon SLRs. I bought a couple rolls and some batteries (like $40, ahh!)

Its alot of fun! I can't wait to get my first rolls processed!

thats cool! i have one of these that my dad bought in 1976 that he recently gave to me.

it too only has a 50mm on it. i havnt finished a single roll of film yet though. lol.
