Volvo fall shots

New here! Saw the post on FredMiranda. Looks to be a cool site, hope a lot more people start to join. Anyway, here are some recent shots I took of our Volvo T5-R wagon.

This one has too much jpeg compression and shows the dirty rear:

Welcome, those are some pretty nice captures, I wouldn't even think to take car pictures with foliage looking like that.

They were taken along the St. Croix River in MN and Wisconsin.

Yeah, I have a few without the car as well.

It's fairly close. I drive a sedan in the same color. The wagon is my dads.

Thanks for the comments. :001_smile:

Impressive work!
I was always dissapointed with the shots I got with my D50, but I have come to realize it was just the glass holding me back. Alas, I now have a D90 and still cant justify the obligatory 70-200 :/ sigh.

Love it man!
What is your collection of glass??

I think part of it is definitely the glass but also editing. If I didn't edit my photos I'd hate them. My D50 puts out such bland, un-sharp, and boring photos right out of the camera. I use an 80-200 F2.8, 50mm F1.8, and I had a 10-20 Sigma which I used for the rolling shots but sold it. The 80-200 is by far my most used lens. I will make the switch to full-frame at some point but I may wait until the next set of new cameras come out after the D3s. Even though the D3s is insanely great.

Laser blue V70R would have fit in nicely but we haven't ventured newer than 850's yet.

looking good. V70R is high on my list of cars I would like to own some day. 850 would do though.
