Few night shots from tonight.
Got together with a few car dudes and hit up a tech park in the area hoping to find something decent. Got a few good ones. It was too damn cold to really hang out a long time and really focus on getting great shots. Also tried some rolling shots, they were kinda fun. Funny how I didn't even notice the cold hanging out of the window at 35mph, I guess trying to keep the camera still and maintain the composition took me over more than the cold could lol. I really can't wait till summer so I can focus more of my energy on making a better shot than making the process quick.
![]() ![]() This one there was a flood lamp in front of the car, and I tried to counter it by hand firing my SB600 at the rear, since I don't have a commander yet. ![]() ![]() ![]() And this is the best I could muster with my brother driving my G8 :( Rollers are tough thats for sure! That and I think my cheap UV filter caused some massive lens flares ![]() ![]() Again, it was freezing, and this girl Star was not about to get out of the car just so I could take pics of it lol. So yeah, sorry for the obvious technical no-no :( ![]() And yeah, I forgot to take out the light pole in this one. Whatevs, it's not a super great shot anyways.

1. over exposed, and lettering.
2. underexposed and overexposed, and the lettering dont cut it.. 3. is good but lil over expo, with uneven spill 4.lil over exposed the rest are ok, maybe need white balance adjustment, but now for the rolling TC I clap my hands to u sir, cause if this is a roller and looks dark out, thats one crisp roller, if not rig that is.. very clean, shockingly u pulled it off, trust me its like 1 in a mill, just go over with whitebalance and ull be good..

X2 on the white balance. Also the first spot just isn't a good spot to shoot because the lighting doesn't reach over the whole car which is why the front is so dark. You would have to either use a flash or 2 exposures to get it right.

Thanks guys. Looking back I really wasn't pleased with the results and I'm kind of embarrassed that I even posted these lol. It was just so cold and the lighting conditions weren't what I initially thought they'd be, so yeah, ef it lol. The first spot with all the white light and the lettering looked cool in theory, I just dont know how to pull it off, if it's even possible. That whole night was more of a "hey we're bored from sitting inside all winter lets go out and screw around" lol.
And yes, that was a roller of the tC, not a rig. It was probably the best one I managed that night. Taken at .8s, f3.5, ISO800. I also got this one, almost as good, but still shaky. Night rollers aren't easy by any stretch when you're not using a fast lens. Oh well, it was fun at least. .8s, f4, ISO800
