Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Cherry
I met up with a couple friends to shoot these two beautiful cars downtown Chicago over the weekend. Cherry came out to take some pictures with the cars as well, even though it was freeeeeeeezing cold.
I'm still working on a lot of them, I took 700+ I think. I'll keep the thread updated with pics as I do them and maybe a MOD can move them to the first post as I add them? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More soon... check my Flickr, Flickr: jeremycliff's Photostream and my website, The Mya Creative for more photos!

1: I like the dark tone and high contrast, I feel the lambo gets stretched a bit too much with the distortion.
2: I love how it looks like the Ferrari just laid some rubber! 3: nice 4: I don't like seeing just the sides of the cars in this shot. They take up too little of the picture imo. Maybe look down on them with a wide shot so you see the buildings as well?? 5: This is probably my favorite shot. I will say tho, I don't like the yellow concrete. Maybe a little less saturation? The high-saturation looks good on the cars, just not the bkg imo. 6: Your sharpening looks good for what is in focus, but it works adversely to your bokeh. 7: Forgot a badge!!! ![]() 8: yeah.. still think the skyline should be OOF 9: Wow! It sits higher off the ground then I thought!! 10: Rawr! ![]() 11: I might have cropped this one... 12: You don't often see an asian model with an italian car haha. 13: 2nd favorite shot right here!! ![]() 14: If I were you I would desaturate or just eliminate that yellow parking line under the nose of the car. Great work overall, thanks for posting! I look forward to the rest.

Thanks a lot for going through and commenting each one! Thats the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I'll take you up on some of those ideas. Some are things that I thought about doing (cropping 11, or putting black bars top n bottom) and some are things I just forgot about doing (yellow line in 14) haha.
oh and for 7 i intentionally left the badge BW. It didnt stand out tht much cause its kind of washed out, and I really wanted to high light the wheel and brakes. Thats for the post!

oh and i definitely need to start shooting in a f8 or above, or something. To get more in focus background. I ALWAY shoot low f-stop for some reason. i'll probably go re-shoot those some time soon.

Thanks for taking my comments to heart. I wonder if on 7 you could make the badge pop even tho it didn't seem to show up as well? I understand if you are trying to show off the wheels and brakes tho. In that case may I suggest a vignette to direct the viewer's eyes toward the brakes.
If you use a tripod, maybe you could crank up the aperature to get all of the car in focus then go wide open and selectively use the sharp car and the bokeh in one shot! I like bokeh too but I would suggest against any sharpening filter if you have alot of OOF regions.
