in pic #1. you should take that shot for 3-4 feet closer to that railing and use it as a leading lines kinda thing, sweeping it across the frame doesn't work as well... make it more subtle and more of a foreground to background movement.

in #2, those curtain like things are kinda neat, try to get closer and use their shape/shadow as a frames worth of subject and maybe even so close to bleed a bit of it off the frame on 2-3 sides.

#3 the fountain is distracting. Is the pic of the building or fountain? Maybe move so that the fountain is on 1/3 of the frame while the other 2/3rds are filled with the building, but not overlapping.

#4 again, very general. Get specific.

in the next set again.. #1... what am i supposed to be looking at? It could be a nice view but give us (the viewers) some kind of interesting perspective on it. Also you should try not to put too many elements dead center in the frame. Instead maybe getting low to the ground and framing that island in the lower left corner would have been more interesting.

#2 I don't know what that is but composition wise, this is a winner. shoot more like this but if that paper had writing on it or something, put it in focus and make sure we can read it. This pic has a lot of potential.

the fountain pics are ok, nothing special though. How about trying cool effects like, zooming in on the water splashing from it, or trying a long exposure with a tripod? Again, the centering in the frame is apparent here... try to stray from that. #6 is better but this would be one were you shoot landscape and put that in the left 1/3 of the frame. Think postcards.

the chain pic is ok, just not too interesting to me. What is it telling me about the scene?

I like the last one, great composition, great subject, unique angle. Its a very nice picture.

You seem to shoot a lot of "overall" views, meaning just a general sight of a few things in a scene. I used to do (probably still do sometimes) the same thing a lot and it was suggested to me to be more specific about WHAT I am actually shooting. Find a "subject" in the frame, and find a way to focus in on or "feature" it using focus, angles, framing, leading lines, rule of 1/3rds and I think you'll be astonished as to how much better your photos will turn out.

No worries. It's not giving you sh*t for them, its constructive criticism, which everyone should be able to benefit from no matter what medium of art they are in. I enjoy giving/receiving C&C because it makes you look closer at what you are doing, and giving it also lets you see things you might not see of your own work, then use it the next time you're behind the camera.

I'll be the 1st to admit, I don't even always follow my own advice. A lot of times it is weeks between time I am behind the camera so I regress and feel aimless when shooting again for the 1st time and need a little kick in the butt to remind myself what the hell it is I'm doing. Shoot consistently and with time you'll get better and more fluid. You'll start doing these things without even needing to "think" about them.
