Hey, I'm JNB - AutoPhotog : Photo Enthusiasts/Pros Forum

My name is Jim Barnett, I own and run JNB Photo Video a local photography/videography company based out of Santa Barbara, CA. I mostly specialize in product/portrait photography (shooting for amazon, radioshack, target, mighty bright, etc etc) but I started out taking pics of cars. I haven't taken pics of cars in a couple of years and really want to get back into it, I posted some pics of cars I have shot over in the European car forum so check them out. My website is in the middle of a rebuild so it's down but here it is, JNB Photography and Video

And I have a studio here that we do both video and photography shoots in.

I love these particularly! The lighting is superb and I love the colors on that 3rd shot i quoted.

What is your setup for the first 2? glass tabletop with a white/black background and a soft box or unbrella for lighting? maybe you could step us through a brief tutorial? I really enjoy this sort of photography!

I can't really step you through it as there a tons of variables and each one of those pics had a very different light set up.

Here is the set up shot for the lens:

The last one is just a B800 @ 1/1 through a giant octabox camera right.
