Nikon noob here - AutoPhotog : Photo Enthusiasts/Pros Forum

Hey everyone, cool forum you got here. Good to see a place dedicated to photos of cars not taken from point and shoots lol. Currently rockin a D40 with the kit lens 18-55 F3.5/5.6 AF-S VR and just picked up an SB600. Picked it up back in the middle of August, so Im still quite new to the game, however I like to think I'm doing ok with what I have. I really want to get an SU800 commander for the flash and pick up another SB600 so I can start doing off camera strobist kinda stuff. Maybe next year, having my first kid next summer so we'll see what money and time allows.

As far as my car, its a 2008 G8 GT with an intake/tune/custom catback. Dynoed @ 334whp and 358wtq on a Dynojet. The freakin tank weighs in at 2 tons with me in it, so I have only been able to pull a 13.05@107 best with consistent 13.2's @ 106, so its not super quick for the power it puts out, but its not bad for being a family hauler I drive year around, snow included.

Anyways, keep the great photos coming, hopefully I can learn some things from you guys. I'll be posting some of my pics up sometime today.
