I need to add a really fast prime to my collection. Was thinking the Sigma 50mm f1.4, but the price on this 35mm is hard to pass up. I'm just trying not to buy DX-only lenses anymore....

Wow, Im definitely getting this lens now. I cant believe those are with a D40! Hopefully tax time treats me good this winter lol.

Yeah, I could do that, but the 1.8 isn't that expensive to begin with, so it isn't the cost keeping it out of the bag. I'd rather have the Sigma or the Nikkor 50mm AF-S version, both 1.4's, and both about 4 times as much as the 1.8.
