Datsun 260z critique
Please Comment on the orginal and the edited versions of the photo. What you like dislike etc. What could have I done better. I am fairly new to photography and never took any classes or read any books etc.
The orginals are saved on my work PC so I don't have the EXIF data on the first but I will edit tomorrow or monday with that information. Also if you would go through the photos from the rest of the shoot and post up your favorite so I gain the knowledge of what others like in photography. http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...Datsun%20260z/ Original: ![]() ![]()

I would tone down the editing a bit, and next time take the pic in front of something that makes the car stand out more. Love that car though.

Ok reduce the contrast in the edited shots got it.
Some think the background it to busy. others not so much. What would a good background be for this type of shot? Or is there just too much background? Focus in more on the car? |

What about this for the background? ![]() Or what if I went to the other side of the building parked in the grass and just had the lighter cream bricks? |

I really like what you did with that. Makes editing out the license plate a little more difficult but it shouldn't have been there in the first place... next time...
My trail of elements ran out yesterday so I just downloaded lightroom to try for the next month. I will see if I can find sometime today to see what I can create based on everyones feedback. I got to figure out which one I want to purchase. Elements is no big deal but lightroom is a little more money and since it would need to go on my work pc it needs to be 100% legit. Thanks for the feedback guys! Its the only way I am going to learn all this. |

In both of the untouched photos the focus seem to be on the bricks in the wall so the car is not in focus. Also, you could dial down the ISO, no need to use 320 and 800 in the 1st and 2nd photos respectively in fairly good light.
nice car though, i used to own a red Datsun 240z many years ago
