First time shooting portraits
I didn't know what i was doing at all. I had trouble telling her what poses to do and etc. It wasn't the perfect weather to take pictures either, but i think some came out okay.

last one is the best of the 3. Remember try not to totally center the subject... use the rule of thirds.
If you have trouble with poses go look around at stuff on flickr or magazines and print them out and bring along as reference.

I'm in the process of learning "Portraits" too. I never notice the flaws I'm making till I get back and look them over, haha. The photos are good, but heres a few things to remember and try next time......
-Like UdubBadger said, don't center,at least not all & remember the thirds. -Use some fill flash to even out contrast and to put catch lights in their eyes. - Give the hands something to do,as in the third shot. Here left hand/arm looks awkward since it's popping out behind her. - And don't forget....get close ! Vary your shots but do get some where she fills the frame, maybe head & shoulders 3/4. Just get some very close. Keep up the work & have fun with it !

i think you improved a lot of bit
![]() -not that it applies here but watch how you crop appendages like arms and leg. Never crop on a joint, it looks UBER weird. Always apply a crop middle of the thigh, calf, arm, ect...
