i think it needs to be cropped down. obviously the focus is on you and the fireplace, there is to much going on around the sides. plus all the light coming in from the windows is kind of distracting. i would say crop in both sides and than maybe the bottom so maybe you get the top half or 3/4 of your back pack. i think it will come off alot stronger.
also, i dont know about the color from the fire place, based of off cc's from my photography profesor, i think thats something he would grill me for. i get what your trying to do though. i think the color bleed onto the rocks needs to be alot less, or maybe not even bleed onto the rocks at all, but if it is maybe just enough to tell its warm. and i cant tell if its my crappy computer screen. or the pic, but it looks like the color bleed goes onto the hood? i think you should remove it from the hood. so its only shows up underneath if that makes sense? i think it would make it more realistic. im pretty much nit picking, looking for things that i would personally change. the image i think is really good. and def a good idea. i hope this helps.

I don't like the color to the left of the fire place the "glow of the fire"
If you want to make it I don't know the technical term black and white with touch of color is but. I would do just the flames or make the portion of the face that is reflection the "heat" in color and not the brick. The brick doesn't look right to me at all. I agree on the color bleed right on the edge of the hood above the fireplace. |

I'll try an edit with a little bit of a tighter crop and a bit lighter on the color bleed on the rocks

sweet well Im a total dumbass and didnt know I need 3 images so what do you guys think for the next 2?
For one I was thinking in my car, hands over the center vents like I was warming up and again use the cold/warm effects. No clue about an idea for a 3rd that I can do in a day. Warming up with a cup of hot soup maybe?

yeah, that edit is much much better, and it looks like you extended the color onto your skin, i like that.
car heater would be good. i think if you could get a sweet shot of yourself holding a steaming cup of some beverage that would be sweet. emphasis on the steam of the cup. but that might be hard lol you could do like a three picture progression. this being your cold pic, second being a bit warm and than your last being hot. (warm tones) and what your doing in the pic could emphasize the tones you are using..... just a couple of random ideas. but that edit is waaay better.

I think I'm gonna try the car thing and the hot soup/coffee thing as well and see how they turn out. Any other ideas would be appreciated in case they don't cuz this thing is due tomorrow night.

oh i agree. its not much better here. i though maybe a steamed up bathroom, maybe like a reflection off of a steamed up mirror or something like that. i would probably stick with the cold theme too.
