so ive slowly started to broaden my work to include portraits...

give me good feedback and bad, but keep in mind im still learning...

these look like myspace/facebook pictures to me. try to get someone to model for a practice photoshoot.

i'm starting to shoot portraits also.

first one looks...overprocessed? there is some distortion between the shadow and the light on your face, otherwise, i kinda like it. its fun.

third one just looks out of focus.

i would reduce the opacity of you edge burn. i think its a little much, but this is just my opinion.

keep practicing! this could be kinda fun, we should have just a random portrait thread like the cars.

Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming... I'm trying to just practice when I can... I have some film photos I need to scan of my bosses daughter.

I've always hated pics of myself until recently, and getting a good self portrait, wether it's for fb or not, I'm learning angles and lighting... So I know they aren't the best quality, but they are better, and I actually like em lol!

A good girlfriend of mine wants some new portraits and I'm going to be taking them with my film camera... I'll post in this thread when we get the shoot done.

But I appreciate the criticism, let's me know what to really stay away from when doing shoots...

what camera? where do you print? film is the greatest

My 1984 canon T50... I shoot with pro fine grain B&W and have em printed at wolf camera or walgreens lol!

yeah I don't see how this work is broadening... they're all facebook style portraits.

go have a dedicated "set up scene" for some stuff, get someone who's willing to work with you and "model" not just pose.
