My first model session

I shot these at my work after hours.. shot with a cannon rebel xt and a 28-135 lens. i was also using two alienbee strobes/flash units.

the model really likes black and white thats why some of them were turned B&W

I was overall very happy with the turnout critique and comments are always welcome

I came back and looked again.

Notice how much brighter your B&W's are compared to the color photos.

I think you should try going back and adding a bit more brightness or exposure compensation to the color photos along with a dash of contrast.

here is an example:

Original

Edited with +.75 exposure, medium contrast curve, +15 vibrance, -10 saturation and a touch of -clarity (softness).

b&w is more "artsy" for portraits... I usually prefer b&w too
