I think her eyes are amazing! But, in the retouched photo that you lightened up, her eyes have lost some "pop" in my opinion. The second shot with the nearly matching background is fantastic.

I think the lightening fixed your color issue too. the first one looked like it had a green hue to it. i would also like to see the top cropped in closer.
And i want to see the 2nd one cropped in a whole bunch, maybe even crop it so its a verticle image. im not a huge fan of the facial expression in the first one either. But otherwise the images look pretty good! her eyes are beautiful. way to go dude.
