Any tips for this weekend?

I know it's a rather vague question - just want some tips for a big photoshoot I'll be doing this weekend.

It's for a local forum - about 15 cars are attending (all newer import models - G37, 350z, Evo etc.).

They need a couple group shots, and some people want rolling shots. Roling shots - no big deal. The question is, what should I look for in doing a shoot with 15ish cars in it?

What type of location? Should I bring a latter so I can be looking down upon them? I was planning on doing something along these lines . . .

Any tips are appreciated!

i would definitely try and get a latter or something that will get you up high, or do it some where, where you can go up on some stairs, dumpster, bridge, ect to shoot down. Shoot big groups of cars is hard...but shooting down on them will probably be the best way.

post them up when you're done!

^I agree. Renting or borrowing a cherry picker or forklift with a cage is perfect! Do whatever you can to get up higher... stand on a truck or something. Try and stay away from just shooting the cars in a line. Something like what you posted is far more interesting.

Can't wait to see what you come up with, please post!

are you into "posing" them? The type of shot that you showed was from above, but they look a little sporadic.

Maybe in a pattern...

But, I have never done anything like that...but i would make sure you remember the basics, especially Aperature/depth of field...

looking down at the cars is the best way so far, just need to find a place with stairs. shots like the one you posted are amazing.
