I just wanna gloat a little bit hehe
So a kid on a local car forum had this picture that another member took chosen for a spot in a calendar that the Mazda6 forum he's on is making. Well, the picture as it was shot wasn't too great, so I volunteered to see what I could do to fix it. The biggest issue was the white balance being so far off due to the super orange lighting we contended with that night (I have my own photos from this night, just didnt get this same shot), and the 2nd thing that was noticed was the license plate being cut off on the bottom corner. And then the light pole and wires sticking out as well as the electrical substation off to the left needing to be cleaned out. Not a super huge job, but the biggest part was something I have never really attempted before: adding part of a photo that was not originally there. That part being the bottom where the plate was cut off. I added a total of 40 pixels to the bottom of the canvas, and then just started copying, pasting, and cloning. For the plate corner, I had the guy who took the pics send me another picture he had that showed the corner of the plate that was missing, and I just used a piece of that picture pasted in to this one.
I am quite happy with the results, because although I am not a noob at PS, I'm far from being even an advanced amateur user. It definitely feels good though knowing that I was able to complete this and have it turn out this well. I honestly didnt think I would end up well and I would just give up. So score one for me, I'm gonna give myself self-props for this one lol. Anyways, here are the before and afters ![]() ![]()

Well the plate looks great, but it wouldn't be too hard to get rid of the obvious duplicate glares on the rear bumper or the obvious duplicate spots on the concrete. Just spot heal would knock out all the concrete issues. I guess this is already done tho.
I can appreciate the work that went into it tho and I bet most anyone wont notice whats been done. Congrats! EDIT: Oh, and the blue part is supposed to have a rounded corner *runs* |

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll work on it a bit more. Much like writing, it's always better to have another set of eyes look over the work for something the originator may have missed. Those duplicate spots shouldnt be too hard to remove, I'll do that today. And crap, I never noticed the blue corner was squared and not rounded! That shouldnt be too difficult to fix. I doubt any these little issues would be noticed by anyone that didnt know it was a photoshop, but I'd definitely rather fix it then submit it how it currently is, just for my peace of mind.
Anything else in particular I'm not seeing?
