Light Room?
I had been using the trial version of Elements until that expired so now i thought I would try Light room because of all the rave reviews.
But can I do any actual chopping with light room? I can't seem find the "magic" wand or layer controls any of those editng items that were in Elements. Lightroom does have some sweet color adjustment features and can really help in making that photo pop over that of the more basic Elements software. Also, it has been very easy to pick up so far. What started this i want to tweak the coloring on the car, and different sections on the background differently. Is this possibly with lightroom. What am I looking for? |

Light Room is basically Adobe Bridge and ACR in one program. It's really nice to edit raw files with and you can make photos pop with it nicely.
You can tweak individual parts of the photo with the adjustment brush tool. |

Only time I ever go in to CS4 now is if I have advanced cloning I need to do. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I have found that the cloning tool is just a spot clone, and you cant drag the tool while it clones the area you selected. Not too convenient really, that's pretty much my only gripe with LR. I love it and do pretty much everything in there. It's nice having the plugin for Smugmug too, I can export directly from LR to SM, and I have another plugin that adds borders, watermarks, and other things as it exports to where I send it. I think I'd be lost without LR lol.
